SEOs are able to log on to an interactive Web-based course to learn about a specific technology for alternate onlot waste sewage components. Each course covers the alternate guidance requirements for a technology and expands on the theory behind the component. It also includes information on installation of the component and the operation and maintenance requirements.
Web-based courses can be accessed 24 hours a day by visiting www.seotraining.org, and clicking on "Available Training, Continuing Education, Web-Based Courses" or by clicking "Web-Based Courses" in the navigation bar on the left.
Upon completion of the course, SEOs will receive continuing education credit hours. Credit hours vary for each individual Web-based course. An e-mail will be sent to the SEO to verify successful completion.
There are no formal tests for these courses. However, at the end of each lesson, quizzes are given to test for understanding, and the participant must answer each question correctly to move on to the next lesson.
There are no fees for these courses.
If the technology requires department-approved training, the Web-based courses will satisfy this requirement. The now-defunct #108 Alternate and Experimental classroom course will no longer satisfy training for any alternate technology.
If you were granted authority for interim delegation of review, it will automatically expire three (3) months after the Web-based training course officially becomes available for that specified technology.
